The cryptocurrency projects $DOGS and $NOT are preparing for a big joint token burn event on October 9, 2024, at 1 PM UTC.
This event will be live-streamed on the official $DOGS account on X (formerly Twitter), where about $4 million worth of tokens will be permanently taken out of circulation.
The decision to burn the tokens came after a recent community vote about what to do with unclaimed airdrop tokens. As a result, the $DOGS project will burn around 4.8 billion tokens, and $NOT will also add its tokens to the burn.
To give back to society, DOGS will donate about 6 billion unclaimed tokens, valued at around $4.5 million, to charities that support animal welfare and child support.
Since June 16, the number of $NOT holders has increased by 27%, showing more investors are getting interested in the project. Similarly, $DOGS has over 17 million on-chain token holders and a strong social media following of about 20 million.
Notcoin and DOGS have achieved a remarkable milestone with their growing popularity. Even Binance exclusively featured them in its Telegram app.
