KuCoin, a major global cryptocurrency exchange, has made an announcement that its payment platform, KuCoin Pay, has joined forces with Web3 travel and lifestyle platform Umy.
With this partnership, KuCoin users can now book accommodations, flights, and lifestyle products on Umy using more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including KCS, USDT, USDC, and BTC. Users can pay in crypto directly and not have to concern themselves with currency exchange or the banks.
Umy is a Web3 travel platform that brings cryptocurrency into real-world travel and lifestyle experiences. The goal is to make travel easier and more rewarding by allowing people to pay for travel services using cryptocurrencies.
Kumiko Ho, Head of Payment Business at KuCoin, said the partnership helps bring crypto into daily life, especially travel. She added, “Our partnership with Umy allows users to unlock real-world experiences directly with their digital assets, offering more freedom, convenience, and value in every journey.”
“By partnering with KuCoin Pay, we’re enabling travelers to seamlessly use their crypto assets for bookings, making the experience more efficient, borderless, and rewarding,” said Alex Lee, Umy CEO. He also added that the company is focused on making travel and lifestyle services accessible in the Web3 era.
Adding to this partnership, KuCoin Pay and Umy also have a promotion running through September 1, 2025. Through this promotion, users can get $20 off every $200 spent on hotels, flights, and more.
In other developments, KuCoin has partnered with AlloyX to test using Real-World Asset (RWA) tokens as collateral. The first token in this test is RYT, backed by the ChinaAMC USD Digital Money Market Fund.
Additionally, KuCoin Futures has been added to CoinGlass, a site that tracks crypto derivatives, and is now ranked 4th worldwide among similar platforms. This ranking shows growing interest from both big investors and regular traders.
