Circle recently announced and made its USDC stablecoin live on XRP Ledger (XRPL) on June 12. Thereafter, the stock of Circle Internet Group, Inc. (CRCL) gained on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, regaining part of its losses during a shocking week. The CRCL stock closed at $133.56, showing a 25.36% rally during the day.
CRCL started the day well, entering a steep pre-lunch rally that put the price at its highest point just before noon. Though returns trimmed off afterwards in the session, the stock still ended the day much higher than its last close of $106.54, a sign that investor demand is still very much there despite the wider volatility. Also, in the after hours, the stock gained 1.25% to $135.29.
However, with the recovery today, the overall situation is still challenging. By Thursday, the CRCL stock plunged lower by 17%, highlighting the risky nature of newly listed stocks. These violent moves have attracted both short-term traders and long-term investors.
Being a recent addition to the NYSE, the stock of Circle Internet Group does not have some longer-term performance measurements like a one-month return or an annual return. But overall, the stock has risen 93.56% since its debut, which also indicates its successful market launch and sharp corrections that followed it.
The recovery holds some hope of encouraging those investors who are bullish, yet it is not clear whether CRCL will be able to find some price stability in the next sessions. As volatility continues to drive the headlines, traders will be expecting clues of consolidation or additional whipsaws in the market.
