Popular blue-chip NFT collection Cool Cats is moving into a new era with plans to rebrand the project with the help of a new strategic direction.
The new vision of Cool Cats is “To become the leading entertainment brand that celebrates cool through community-centered storytelling and innovation.”
Cool Cats held a town hall for the community members where it revealed some ideas which will match with new narrative content centered on the project’s principal character, Blue Cat.
Cool Cats co-founder and Creative Director Colin “Clon” Egan stated, “Our new logo features a forward-facing cat, a nod to our focus on building for the future.”
Cool Cats wants to attract mainstream consumers with a target of gaining one million holders over the following five years through in-person experiences, games, customizable collectibles, physical and digital goods, and community-focused storytelling NFTs.
Cool Cats will provide a brand-new feature called “Cool Score,” which enables users to monitor, assess, and be rewarded for their participation in the Cool Cats community.
A soft staking mechanism for Cats and Pets on Cool Cats’ gamified NFT environment, Cooltopia, is also being introduced by the company with “Journeys,” a gamified storytelling endeavor. As a result, the team is able to give the most active holders stronger attributes, digital & real-world incentives, and more.
Members can gather dynamic NFTs dubbed “Fracture” NFTs as they explore Cooltopia in order to unlock new levels of the Cool Cats tale. As the bearer explores more of Cooltopia, the dynamic NFTs develop.
After the company Town Hall details the project’s new path, Fracture NFTs will be airdropped to current Cool Cats holders. It will be a mint pass for an upcoming NFT release and be used in “Journeys” to qualify for rare traits.
An upcoming game that would be revealed in the coming months was also hinted at by Cool Cats during the Town Hall.

Cool Cats and Ledger have teamed up to create Ledger Quest, a co-branded educational program that goes live at the beginning of this month, to assist the community in learning how to better secure their possessions.
Cool Cats will release a new NFT dubbed “Explorers” later this year. “Explorers” will offer full body modification, be chain-agnostic, and be compatible with a variety of platforms, but these features are subject to change.
Hologram has been named a partner by Cool Cats. Through holographic technology and 3D avatars, hologram enables Cool Cats holders to experience Cool Cats NFTs. The Macys and Cool Cats alliance was another intriguing announcement.
Cool Cats Head of Product, Jarvis, noted “The first chapter of Blue Cat’s story is relatively linear as there are some important parts about Blue and Cooltopia that we would like to make sure we have shared with the community. In the second season, we will be using Journeys to give the community some level of control over the story and narrative.”
