Genesis Gets 5 Days To Produce Subpoenaed Documents

A United States Judge has approved an order requiring Genesis Global companies to hand over certain documents as requested by Terraform Labs in a filing on October 13 in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York.

The judge, Jed Rakoff, has given Genesis a deadline of five days, which is likely until October 18, to provide the requested documents to produce documents following a  subpoena from Terraform Labs.

According to the filing, Genesis failed to provide the requested records by the deadline of October 9, as required by a legal request issued on September 12 subpoena, though the request was somewhat unclear about the specific documents it was seeking.

The order was part of a legal case initiated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission against Terraform Labs, as well as its co-founder and CEO, Do Kwon and was originally filed in February.

Do Kwon is currently serving a four-month prison sentence in Montenegro for using fraudulent travel documents, while the lawsuit against Terraform Labs is still ongoing in the United States.
