Coinbase has launched zero-fee trading for its UK customers. The promotion is a one month limited offer that will last from September 8 to October 7, 2023.
This offer is for experienced traders who use the exchanges’ Advanced Trade where fees are usually capped at less than or equal to 0.4% for makers and less than or equal to 0.6% for taker orders.
Coinbase Senior Director of Product Management Scott Shapiro revealed that apart from the promotion offer, UK customers have one more thing to celebrate as now they have access to the USD market.
Coinbase has unified their USD and USDC order books so users can trade on these liquid USD markets using USDC. Traders can get the same price execution without holding USD to trade on USD markets. Moreover, traders who hold USDC can earn up to 5% rewards.
Shapiro said that “traders outside the US have asked multiple times for the ability to trade in Coinbase’s extremely liquid USD markets without having to go through a multi-step process.”
He also said, “The reason we are running this campaign is because we have made a number of improvements to the advanced trading experience over the past year, and we want UK traders to experience those updates for themselves and share their feedback with us.”
