The American comedian, podcaster and host of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Joe Rogan has once again shown his support for the biggest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC).
In the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the world’s biggest podcaster is accompanied by mixed martial artist Khalil Rountree and they both went on to explain why they feel Bitcoin is the future.
Rogan explained his point of view on BTC as a viable form of currency, he also claimed that the government is freaking out and is trying to curb the cryptocurrency just like the early Internet.
Joe Rogan said “I think of Bitcoin in the same way I think about the early internet. I think they didn’t see it coming and now it’s a viable form of currency and you can actually buy things with it and I think the government is freaking out.”
Rogan also expressed his concerns that the government is maybe trying to curb and control crypto in the same way that it tried to censor and control the internet during the Obama administration. According to him, this attempt had become unsuccessful because of the “public uproar”.
Joe Rogan has supported Bitcoin for many years and even UFC has shown recognition to the value of Bitcoin by joining forces with Crypto.com to provide fight night bonuses to its fighters.
