Crypto.com & UFC to pay Bitcoin Fight Night Bonuses

The world’s fastest growing cryptocurrency platform, Crypto.com and the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, UFC, announced the creation of new Bitcoin Fight Night bonuses for UFC athletes.

As per the official release, the new Fan Bonus of the Night will have three bitcoin bonuses that would be awarded to the top three fighters on each UFC Pay-Per-View. This would be decided on the basis of voting by fans from all over the world. The bitcoin bonuses will be based on the exchange rate in U.S. dollars.

The bitcoin payoffs would be anywhere from US$30,000 for first place, US$20,000 for second place, and US$10,000 for third place.

It is worth mentioning that the ‘Fan Bonus of the Night’ will be awarded along with the traditional Fight of the Night and Performance bonuses which are awarded to UFC athletes by UFC President Dana White after every UFC event.

Last July, Crypto.com became an official UFC partner. UFC President Dana White called it “one of the best partners we’ve ever had” already.

She added, “They’re constantly coming up with new ideas about how we can work together to connect with the fans. This new Fan Bonus of the Night is an awesome way to get fans more engaged in our events while rewarding the fighters for bad-ass performances.”

Explaining the ‘voting process’ for the Fan Bonus of the Night, it is informed that during each UFC Pay-Per-View, voting will take place on Crypto.com/FanBonus. This process will be made available to all users globally.

Thus, each fan will get three votes per Pay-Per-View and can vote for two fighters within each session. Voting will begin at the beginning of the Pay-Per-View prelims and will be closed down towards the end of the event.

In November, both the firms further collaborated for a multi-year licensing agreement for a limited series of UFC NFTs in which the UFC athletes will receive 50 percent of UFC’s revenue from the NFT sales.

The recent announcement of Crypto.com as the official sponsor of the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has added to the company’s remarkable relationship portfolio.

The latest Fan Bonus of the Night will be launched at UFC® 273: VOLKANOVSKI vs THE KOREAN ZOMBIE, which will be held this Saturday, April 9 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.
