The five-time Latin GRAMMY winner Camilo, is all ready to perform during the Recording Academy’s Virtual Grammy Week on the Roblox platform.
This is the Recording Academy’s first foray into the Metaverse, as well as Roblox’s first brand-funded music activation.
The virtual Grammy week kicked-off yesterday and will be held till April 3rd, the 64th Grammy Awards day. The event is in partnership with payment’s giant Mastercard.
Camilo is a two-time Grammy nominee and is now the first Latin singer to perform on Roblox. He is up for Best Latin Pop Album this year for the album ‘Mis Manos’. His virtual concert will be held on April 1st.
The artist stated “I’m also grateful that I’ll be able to bring this unique experience to La Tribu, especially during GRAMMY Week. I was already incredibly honored to be one of this year’s nominees, and to perform in a completely new way in the Metaverse, brings it to a whole new level. I can’t wait!”

Along with the concert by Camilo there are many other exciting things happening as part of the Grammy week X Roblox. Yesterday, there were virtual meet & greet events with artists Glass Animals and Walker Hayes. Today it’s a meet & greet event with artist Poppy.
Fashion items created with Roblox’s new Layered Clothing technology will be featured on the GRAMMY red carpet area. The Sofia Carson meet & greet event is also happening on the same day as Camilo’s concert.
Mini games including treasure hunts, Grammys-themed virtual merch items, virtual quizzes where users can answer to play along with the GRAMMY’s experience will be part of this extravagant week.
The Recording Academy has also released artist ThankYouX X Grammys NFT collection in collaboration with sustainable NFT platform OneOf. The NFTs feature ThankYouX’s trademark abstract paintings overlaid on the legendary GRAMMY Award.
