Nexo, a company that helps people to manage their cryptocurrencies, has collaborated with a major professional golf organization, the DP World Tour, to sponsor a big golf tour, making Nexo and the DP World Tour leaders in combining sports and finance.
This partnership is a deal for three years till 2027. This is the first time a crypto company has sponsored a golf tour. Starting in 2025, the partnership will cover six important golf tournaments, including the Genesis Scottish Open with famous players like Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Matt Fitzpatrick, plus other events like the Betfred British Masters and the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
A key event is the Nexo Championship, which is going to be conducted from August 7–10, 2025, in Scotland at Trump International Golf Links, showing Nexo’s strong move into sports sponsorship. Antoni Trenchev, Nexo’s co-founder, said the partnership fits because both golf and wealth-building need careful planning, control, and a clear goal.
He believes Nexo and the DP World Tour share values like precision and performance, making golf a great match for their brand. Max Hamilton, a top executive at the DP World Tour, said that the firm’s creative use of technology matches their goal of bringing golf fans together globally.
