Grant Cardone’s Cardone Capital said it is expanding a strategy that combines real estate investments with Bitcoin accumulation, with the company announcing about 1,200 Bitcoin and 2,000 multifamily housing as part of the latest expansion.
Cardone, founder of the real estate investment firm, said in an August 28 X post that the company was “doubling down” on its multifamily and Bitcoin model.
The announcement did not disclose the purchase price of the Bitcoin, the timing of the transactions, or which investment vehicles received the assets. Cardone also did not identify the newly added properties or say whether the 2,000 units came from a single deal.
Rental income funds Bitcoin purchases
The strategy combines income-producing apartment buildings with Bitcoin inside private investment vehicles. Under the model, property managers aim to increase rental cash flow from the apartments, with part of that income then used to purchase Bitcoin. Cardone Capital has described the approach as a dollar-cost averaging strategy, with recurring Bitcoin purchases made over time rather than a single large allocation.
“We work to improve the cash flow of the real estate and buy more bitcoin as it falls,” Cardone said in a statement on June 26, 2026.
The strategy is intended to let the investment vehicles build Bitcoin exposure from operating cash flow generated by real estate, according to Cardone’s description of the model. That structure links the performance of the real estate assets with the investment vehicles’ Bitcoin exposure, creating exposure to both asset classes for fund investors.
Growing Bitcoin exposure
The latest announcement builds on purchases Cardone Capital has made through several Bitcoin-focused investment vehicles. In May 2025, the company announced the 10X Miami River Bitcoin Fund, which paired a 346-unit Miami apartment complex with an initial $15 million Bitcoin allocation. The fund also reserved a portion of rental income for additional Bitcoin purchases.
Cardone Capital had previously reported more than $5 billion in assets under management, including more than 14,200 rental units and 500,000 square feet of office space.
The firm disclosed additional Bitcoin purchases. Company statements cited in earlier coverage showed it held about 1,000 BTC in January after purchasing another $10 million worth of Bitcoin.
In June, Cardone said the company bought 282 BTC for about $18 million when Bitcoin was trading near $63,000. That followed a separate purchase of 130 BTC valued at roughly $9.7 million.
Cardone also said at the Consensus 2026 conference in Miami that the company had added $100 million in Bitcoin through a transaction involving about $235 million in real estate. The assets were held through a limited liability company rather than a conventional real estate investment trust, according to Cardone.
The 10,000 BTC target
In 2025, Cardone set a longer-term goal of accumulating 10,000 BTC across 10 specialized investment funds. He previously said the company aimed to hold 4,000 BTC by the end of 2026. The latest announcement, however, did not provide a consolidated Bitcoin balance across all of Cardone Capital’s funds after the new purchases.

Investors in the private funds hold interests in the investment vehicles rather than owning Bitcoin directly. Third-party institutional custodians handle cryptocurrency custody and trade execution.
Strategy carries risks
The structure gives investors exposure to two volatile asset classes through private investment vehicles: income-producing real estate and Bitcoin.
Bitcoin prices can fluctuate sharply, while apartment investments remain exposed to property-market conditions, operating costs and changes in rental income. Private funds can also limit how quickly investors are able to withdraw their money. For Cardone Capital, the latest expansion represents a larger commitment to linking real estate cash flow with Bitcoin accumulation.
The next development will be whether the firm provides further details on the 1,200 BTC purchase, the newly acquired apartment units and the combined Bitcoin holdings of its investment funds.
