Litecoin Summit Day 1 Schedule Announced for May 29

The annual Litecoin Summit is set to return to Las Vegas on May 29–30, with this year’s edition taking place at Harrah’s Hotel. Organized by the Litecoin Foundation, the two-day event will bring together developers, investors, and blockchain professionals to discuss the latest developments around Litecoin and broader crypto trends.

The summit opens Thursday with registration starting at 8:00 am in the Nevada Ballroom. By 9:00, the main program begins with opening remarks from Marty Simpson, followed by Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, who’s expected to deliver updates on the state of the network and its long-term direction.

Day one’s agenda leans heavily on technical updates and security. Developer Loshan is slated to introduce Nexus, a new project tied to Litecoin’s tech stack. Dr. Kapil Amarasinghe will discuss BasicswapDex, a decentralized exchange platform.

Later in the morning, Bitcoin security expert Jameson Lopp will give a talk on personal security, focusing on real-world attack vectors.

Two back-to-back panel discussions will explore current trends in merged mining and the growing interest around crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Speakers include Luke Wright, Ben Miklozek, Robbie Coleman, and ETF analysts like James Seyffart and Bruno Caratori.

A fireside chat between Valkyrie’s Steven McClurg and journalist Eleanor Terrett will follow. Wei Zhou is also scheduled to speak on stablecoins and remittances, while Unstoppable Domains’ Sandy Carter will close the morning with a session on digital identity and Litecoin’s role within it.

While the general lunch break runs from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, a parallel session titled “Unstoppable Women of Web3 & AI” will take place in a separate room. That panel, featuring Carter, Terrett, María Laura Tardivo, and Brenda Gentry, focuses on women’s representation and work in blockchain and artificial intelligence.

The afternoon block shifts back to tech-focused discussions, including a panel on the usability of self-custody tools—featuring Paul Puey, Wei Zhou, and others—followed by a presentation from Sonny Singh on a new project called Beluga.

One slot remains listed as “TBA,” though organizers have hinted at a potential product announcement or guest speaker. Later sessions include Andre Skauradssun’s talk on crypto indices (GMCI) and a joint presentation by María Laura Tardivo and Clemens Ley on vault infrastructure for Litecoin.

The day will conclude with a keynote featuring John D’Agostino and Richard Jackson, before Simpson returns to formally close out the program.
