Mysten Labs, a blockchain technology company, seems to have outdone itself with its soon-to-launch feature on its Sui blockchain platform.
An hour ago, Kostas Chalkias, one of the co-founders of Mysten Lab, tweeted that he did some SUI transactions on a boat without the internet.
“I told you… I literally had to work from the boat last week, without internet…” he said

The new feature he’s referring to is called the Sui SMS, and it’s already making waves. It’s very simple: Sui users would be able to carry out transactions simply by sending an SMS with no internet required.
It was initially revealed by Adeniyi Abiodun, another Mysten Lab co-founder, on X, where he tweeted that the feature is “coming soon.”

This means you can send payments, interact with decentralized finance (DeFi), claim rewards, and much more, all via a text message. This makes the platform even more simple to use, more efficient, and perfect for those in areas with limited internet access.
Upon its launch, this could be a game changer for the blockchain industry. The feature could get adopted in a short while and even evolve to meet the needs of a wider audience.
