Hut 8 Corp., a leading North American digital asset mining and computing infrastructure provider, reached an agreement with new owners of sites, Charlie in Kearney, Nebraska, and Delta in Granbury, Texas, about the termination of the property management agreements.
As part of the deal, Hut 8 will receive a $13,568,000 payment linked to the termination of property management agreements at these locations.
Asher Genoot, President of Hut 8, stated, “We are very proud of the work we’ve done since taking over management at the Kearney and Granbury sites and want to recognize the incredible talent and dedication our teams on the ground have demonstrated for more than a year.”
Additionally, he said, the company looks forward to sharing details about its plans as soon as it can and anticipates an orderly transition of operations in the upcoming months.
Hut 8 will carry out self-mining operations and managed services at the Charlie and Delta sites until April 30, 2024, by the terms of the termination agreement it signed with Marathon Digital Holdings on January 30, 2024. The termination charge will be paid within 30 days following the termination date.
