Pons Claims Top Onchain Launchpad Fees as Robinhood Chain Frenzy Drive Rally

Pons posted a $500 million volume day and $4 billion in cumulative trades as Robinhood Chain briefly earned more app revenue than Ethereum.

Pons, the permissionless token launchpad built on Robinhood Chain, has stated that it recorded the highest user-paid fees of any onchain launchpad over a 24-hour window ending early Tuesday, generated from more than $500 million in trading volume.

The claim, posted by the project’s official account at 02:22 UTC on September 1, 2026, arrived as the two-month-old network posted one of its strongest fee days and as the platform token, $PONS, traded near fresh highs, as confirmed by DeFiLlama data.

AI Summary

Robinhood Chain’s 90‑day gas waiver made cheap, high‑frequency token launches possible, fueling Pons’ fee surge.
Noxa’s mid‑July shutdown redirected launchpad traffic to Pons, concentrating volume and fee revenue on a single platform.
Pons’ 1% fee structure, creator payouts, and token‑buyback burns created a fee flywheel that amplified trading activity.

The numbers sit inside a wider market story. Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer-2 that reached public mainnet on July 1, 2026, generated about $2.66 million in application revenue in a recent 24-hour window, ahead of Ethereum on that metric and behind only Solana, as per an earlier report by The Crypto Times, citing DeFiLlama data as of late August 31.

On Robinhood Chain, memecoin infrastructure—not tokenized brokerage products—has driven most of that activity. Pons is the largest launchpad in that mix, with DeFiLlama-linked dashboards have recently shown Pons V2 daily volume closer to the $80 million range, while a chart shared by Pons put combined “fees paid” across listed launchpads at $82.59 million over 24 hours. The gap matters for readers: official posts and aggregator dashboards are measuring different things.

A crowded launchpad, a new chain, and a fee flywheel

Pons went live days after Robinhood Chain’s mainnet. It is non-custodial: a creator deploys a fixed one-billion-token supply from their own wallet, traders buy and sell without the platform holding funds, and liquidity is locked at graduation. Version 1 launched tokens straight into a locked Uniswap v3 WETH pool. Version 2, rolled out in early August, switched to a bonding curve that graduates into a permanently locked Uniswap v4 pool through a Pons hook. Quote assets now include ETH, USDG, tokenized stocks, and, as of August 28, Coinbase’s cbBTC via Chainlink CCIP.

Fee design is the commercial core. Current launches generally use a 1% trading fee, split about 70% to the token creator and 30% to the protocol. Pons says most of the protocol share funds automated $PONS buybacks and burns.

As of 00:26 UTC on September 1, the team said creators had earned more than $25 million in trading fees, payable in ETH, USDG, or stock tokens. A day earlier it marked $4 billion in cumulative platform volume. Those are project-reported figures. Messari notes from August put Pons’ earlier cumulative volume near $1.86 billion and creator earnings near $12.5 million, which is consistent with a sharp late-August acceleration rather than a contradiction of the newer totals.

The chain’s early economics helped. Robinhood waived gas for 90 days from July 1, making high-frequency token deployment cheap. After rival launchpad Noxa halted new launches in mid-July, Pons absorbed a large share of remaining activity. DeFiLlama data shows that By late July it was already processing a majority of launchpad volume on the chain. That concentration is a feature for the protocol and a risk for the network: one venue accounts for a large slice of transactions, fees, and mindshare.

$PONS, burns, and a late-August listing wave

$PONS is not one of the thousands of tokens launched through the pad. It is the platform token, with a 1 billion max supply and no ongoing emission. Circulating supply is lower because buybacks send tokens to a burn address.

Pons said on August 29 that 29% of total supply had been burned, leaving roughly 710 million tokens outstanding on major market-data sites.

In terms of price action, CoinGecko daily history shows $PONS closing August 24 near $0.078, August 27 near $0.117 around the KuCoin listing, August 30 near $0.312, and August 31 at $0.4002 after an intraday high of $0.4438.

As of September 1 at 10:30 AM UTC, the token trades near $0.43, with market-cap prints roughly $307 million and 24-hour token trading volume often above $100 million in daily figures. The token was also listed on LBank, Poloniex, MEXC, BTSE, BingX, and Gate.io in July and August, widening access beyond Robinhood Chain DEX pools.

That rally tracks usage more than a new token unlock. Research notes have flagged a low fully diluted valuation relative to trailing fees compared with older launchpad tokens. The same notes warn that fee income is concentrated in speculative coin launches, which can fade as fast as they appear.

Protocol dashboards also split “fees paid by users” from “protocol revenue.” Creators receive the larger share; what remains for buybacks is smaller than headline fee charts imply.

Competition, stock pairs, and the September calendar

Pons does not have the chain to itself. Uniswap Labs launched pools.trade on Robinhood Chain on August 5 and briefly outpaced Pons on daily token count, with a lower trading fee and no protocol take. Pons answered with V2 flexibility, RWA quote assets, and creator payouts in the pairing token rather than in illiquid memecoins.

On August 31 it asked users which additional stock tickers to add. Tokenized equities already matter: one Bitquery-based review of late August activity said tokenized stocks and ETFs accounted for about a quarter of recent Pons curve volume, with tokenized Nvidia among the largest quote assets.

Two calendar items now frame the story. First, the 90-day gas waiver that cheapened mass launching is due to lapse around the end of September; unit economics for 10,000-plus daily deployments will change if users start paying gas again. Second, fee leadership on a single day does not guarantee durable share against a zero-protocol-fee Uniswap product or against a cooler memecoin tape. Robinhood Chain TVL and DEX volume have grown quickly, but the mix is still dominated by short-lived tokens.

As of 09:44 UTC on September 1, 2026, Pons remains the busiest launchpad on a young L2 that is briefly earning more daily app revenue than Ethereum, with a deflationary platform token, expanding RWA pairs, and official volume now measured in the billions.
