Bitcoin ETFs See Weekly Outflows as Ethereum Funds Extend Winning Streak

Key Highlights

  • Bitcoin ETFs recorded a weekly net outflow of $61.53 million, while Ethereum ETFs attracted $27.42 million in net inflows.
  • Bitcoin ETFs ended July with $172.4 million in net inflows, despite a $265.4 million sell-off on the final trading day of the month.
  • Ethereum ETFs extended their inflow streak to four straight weeks, finishing July with $365.2 million in net inflows.

U.S. crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) ended another active week with investors taking different positions across the market.

According to data from Farside Investors, Bitcoin ETFs closed the week with net outflows, while Ethereum ETFs continued to attract fresh investments. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a total net outflow of $61.53 million for the week ending July 31, while spot Ethereum ETFs added $27.42 million in net inflows.

Solana ETFs also posted a positive week, bringing in about $2.82 million in net inflows. Dogecoin ETFs saw no flows during the week, while HYPE ETFs recorded around $14.75 million in net outflows.

Bitcoin ends the week in the red

Despite ending the week in negative territory, Bitcoin ETFs posted a stronger performance for July. Data shows the funds finished the month with $172.4 million in net inflows, breaking a two-month streak of monthly net outflows.

However, the month ended with a sharp reversal. Bitcoin ETFs recorded $265.4 million in net outflows on the final trading day of July, marking the largest single-day withdrawal since July 13.

BlackRock IBIT led the outflows with around $122.7 million, followed by Fidelity with $54.8 million. Bitwise also took about $17.8 million, as Ark Invest followed closely with $17.5 million in withdrawals. This outflow is coming after several weeks of stronger inflows and shows that many investors chose to reduce their exposure before the start of August.

The sell-off came just one day after the funds recorded $233 million in net inflows. On July 30, BlackRock’s IBIT led with $183.4 million, followed by Bitwise’s BITB at $20.7 million, Fidelity’s FBTC at $15.5 million, and ARKB with $1.5 million.

Ethereum ETFs keep moving higher

Ethereum ETFs tell a different story. On July 31, the funds saw an inflow of around $9 million, led by ETHB with $15.4 million. The gains were partially offset by combined outflows of $6.4 million from Fidelity, Bitwise, and Grayscale.

The funds recorded only one day of net outflows during the week, a $32.9 million withdrawal on July 29. Even so, they extended their winning streak to four consecutive weeks of net inflows and finished July with $365.2 million in net inflows.

It was the second month of positive flows for Ethereum ETFs this year after April. Even with this improvement, the products remain at about $1.1 billion in net outflows for 2026, showing they are still recovering from earlier losses.
