“This is not related to any meme tokens or listings. But I embrace the meme culture. I like that meme/word. It’s sticky, for me.” CZ wrote. He also made it clear that he does not own any Binance Life token and has no plan to buy one.
Zhao added that the English version of the book will likely have a difference. He said the book is expected to launch in the next four to six weeks and will be released in both English and Chinese at the same time.
He also explained that the decision to self-publish was to avoid long delays with traditional publishers, even though publishers could help with distribution. CZ made it clear that all money made from the book will go to charity, stating that “Not trying to make money from the book.”
Speculations linking CZ’s book with “Binance Life” token
Changpeng Zhao’s comments were in response to a post on X that suggested the launch of his memoir could boost the Binance Life, or 币安人生 token.
Binance recently listed the token for spot trading, and the timing of the book’s launch was sensitive because many traders are anticipating it.
According to the post, Binance Life had been holding around 100–120 million in value before the book speculation. The author suggested that CZ’s memoir might create a new narrative for the token and increase its attention on the Binance platform.
The author also compared CZ’s potential memoir to other famous biographies, pointing out that publishers like Simon & Schuster, Penguin, and HarperBusiness had released books about tech and finance leaders. He also added that CZ and earlier posts from Binance co-founder Yi He had already made the token popular in the Chinese crypto community. However, CZ has clarified that his book has nothing to do with the said token.
