In Gujarat, India, Gandhinagar University introduces the state’s inaugural Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Lab, fortified with AI and blockchain, to enhance cybersecurity against growing cyber threats, with inauguration by DGP Anil Pratham, as reported by local news.
Beyond research, the lab offers students courses, workshops, and events covering a spectrum of topics, including network security, malware analysis, encryption, vulnerability testing, incident response, understanding cyber laws, and digital evidence collection.
Vice President of Gandhinagar University, Ms. Vinita Rohera, highlighted the lab’s alignment with their commitment to providing top-tier education in cyber and digital forensics. The university also contemplates establishing a future AI-centric campus.
The lab is well-equipped with advanced computers and essential training software, guided by experienced instructors. DGP Anil Pratham lauded the initiative, stating, “Universities have an important role to play in equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the nation’s evolving cybersecurity needs. We appreciate Gandhinagar University for setting up this lab.”
Moreover, the university hosted a seminar that focused on societal enhancement and combating drug abuse. Diverse leaders and experts participated, sharing innovative strategies for fostering a more inclusive and sustainable society.
