The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) DAO votes to elect stewards for three working groups: meta-governance, ENS ecosystem, and public goods.
While the ENS ecosystem working group focuses on assisting users and organizations connected to the project, the meta-governance working group is in charge of giving oversight on DAO governance issues.
The ENS and broader web3 ecosystem projects are the focus of the public goods working group. Three stewards have to be chosen by voters for each working group.
The DAO members voted by selecting their three preferred candidates from a list of nominations after these stewards nominated themselves. These stewards are selected to serve a term of six months beginning January 1, 2023.
Nick Johnson, the co-founder and principal developer for ENS, and Simona.eth were reelected for the Meta-Governance group receiving 1.6 million ENS & 1.5 million ENS votes respectively. With 1.4 million ENS votes, Katherine Wu was also elected for her first term.
With 2.1 million votes, the ENS Ecosystem group reelected Alex Slobodnik, limes.eth with 1.9 million ENS votes, and yambo.eth with 850,000 ENS votes for their initial terms.
Finally, with 2 million, 1.9 million, and 1.4 million ENS votes, respectively, the Public Goods working group elected Alex Van de Sande, the co-founder of ENS, coltron.eth, and vegayp.eth.
