The Web 3 gaming industry is one of the rapidly evolving industries in the past years. This development has been recognized in different aspects, which include the number of players and game development studios, not forgetting the quality of games in the industry. Polkstarter is announcing its Inaugural GAM3 Awards.
The event will take place on the 15th of December with over 100 web 3 games nominated across 16 categories so as to get the best game recognized. Examples of these categories include:
- Game of the Year
- Most Anticipated Game
- Best Graphics
- Best Action Game
- Best Mobile Game
- Best Adventure Game
- Best Casual Game
- Best RPG
The jury has been put in place, which includes Justin Kan, Founder of the fractal, Urvit Goel, Head of Global Games at polygon studios, Itai Elizur, managing partner at market Across, Rachel Levin, Director of Venture and strategy at immutablex and Mad Matt Sorg, Head of Technology at Solana Foundation.
In addition, an all-star jury with tensome years in gaming will not be excluded. Examples of this star Jury include former Square Enix CTO who played the role of directing games like Sonic: Unleashed and Final XIV online (Yoshihisa Hashimoto), not leaving behind the former senior director of partnerships at Election Arts famous (Edward Chang).
Jury previous senior leaders will not be exceptional, leaders at Electronic Arts, Riot Games, Zynga, Xbox Game studio, Amazon Gaming, and unity Technologies, including:
- Sarutobi Sasuke, Head of Partnerships at YGG
- Dan Patterson, General Partner at Sfermion
- Brendan Wong, CEO at Avocado DAO
- Jesper Lindquist, Senior Manager Web3 Gaming at Animoca Brands
- Marco van den Heuvel, Co-Founder & CEO at Merit Circle
- David Hanson, Founder & CEO at Ultra
- John Izaguirre, BD Director at BNB Chain
- Abhimanyu Kumar, Co-Founder at Naavik
The list above are just examples of Unity Technology that will be used.
There are more than 100 content creators, not to mention web3 games, that are running for 16 awards, including “Game of the Year.” This activity will be based on the votes of experts as well as the likes of the community.
However, they will also have to decide and come to a conclusion on who is worthy of taking the prize in each category.90% of the votes will come from the Jury votes while the remaining 10% will be from the community in general. The only part that will be 100% from the community will be people’s choices and the Best Content creator.
Winners of the first GAM3 Awards will enjoy a share of a $300,000 worth prize which will be sponsored by Immutable X, Blockchain GameAlliance, Machinations, Naavik, and Ultra.

The NFT marketplace will be part of the GAM3 Awards during the entire event and will be open to the general public as well.
