After shaping the pop-culture for eight decades, Archie Comics, along with Palm NFT Studio is now launching a new Blockchain Writer’s room, once again, setting a novel tone for Web3 and pop-culture!
An official blog read that Archie Comics will launch an ‘Archieverse: Eclipse’ NFT collection with its partner, Palm NFT Studio.
It is revealed that Archieverse will consist of 66,666 generative characters and will feature 3 million outcomes connected by an “ominous prophecy”.
Notably, this is the comic’s first venture on Web3. The NFT collection is to empower fans to create their own art and stories.
Archieverse is a Profile picture (PFP) NFT collection inspired by “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”. The drop is scheduled to be launched on May 16th and will cost $66.66 USD per NFT.
PFP representing 1 of 16 beloved Archie characters, with rarity based on arcana, is also available for sale.
After the blind drop, the characters of the NFT will be revealed, and unseen forces will be set into motion. Each NFT in the generative collection will have a verse with clues to the Archieverse future, and more challenges to unlock.
Archie’s will allow fans to author future series and are also planning to include fan-generated art as they would be rewarding creative community members.
The holders of the collection will be able to write and submit their own storylines using their specific NFT characters.
Following which, the Archie Comics will go through all the creations and select submissions they enjoy the most. The selected submissions will be directly paid, given story credits and even have a chance of potential integration in future comics!
Interestingly, Palm Studio has been involved with DC too, in the past with its ‘Bat Cowl’ collection featuring Gotham’s messiah Batman. And with Archie too stepping on the Crypto plate, nerds have a lot to feast their eyes with !!
