Blockchain data shows that wallets linked to the TRUMP token team transferred 81.87 million TRUMP tokens, worth about $249 million, to centralized exchanges over the past eight months.
In an October 3 post on X, on-chain analyst EmberCN spotted the transaction saying that the tokens reportedly came from team wallets and were sent to exchanges including Binance and OKX at an average price of $3.04.
“A total of 81.87 million TRUMP tokens (249 million) have been transferred from team wallets, entering CEXs like Binance and OKX at an average price of $3.04.” he said.
The amount moved is only a part of the team’s original TRUMP allocation. The team received 800 million tokens, representing 80% of the total supply. Based on the reported transfers, about 8.2% of those tokens have been moved out, leaving the team with roughly 718 million TRUMP tokens. EmberCN valued the remaining tokens at about $1.49 billion.
The transfers are important because tokens sent to exchanges can be sold or traded. However, the wallet movements alone do not prove that all 81.87 million tokens were sold. The available information confirms that the tokens reached exchanges, but it does not show that every token was converted into cash.
The Crypto Times has reached out to the TRUMP team for further comment on the reported transfers but had not received a response at the time of publication.
$TRUMP price remains under pressure
Meanwhile, the TRUMP token itself is currently trading around $2.06, after sliding around 4.58% over the past 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap as at 2:42 p.m. UTC on October 3.

The token is also down about 73.36% over the past year, pulling its market capitalization down to around $581.94 million. CoinMarketCap lists the token’s total and maximum supply at about 999.99 million TRUMP, with roughly 281.86 million tokens in circulation and about 669,280 holders.
The fall in TRUMP’s price puts the team’s latest movements in a very different position from where the token started.
The token crashed after its early surge
TRUMP was launched in January 2025, shortly before Donald Trump’s inauguration, and quickly attracted huge attention from crypto traders.
However, that did not last as the token crashed shortly after. Before Trump’s inauguration, TRUMP was trading around $56.70 and had a market value of about $13.72 billion. Within 24 hours of the inauguration, its price fell to around $31.20, while its market capitalization dropped to about $8.27 billion, according to data from Dexscreener at the time.
The fall happened as traders sold the token after Trump’s inaugural speech did not include the crypto-related comments some had expected. The decline was not limited to TRUMP. MELANIA, another memecoin linked to Trump’s family, also dropped by about 54%, falling from $11.41 to $4.91.
The two tokens still saw heavy trading during the sell-off. Their combined trading volume reached about $23.5 billion in 24 hours. At the same time, futures linked to the tokens recorded nearly $70 million in liquidations as traders betting on higher prices were caught by the sudden fall.
TRUMP remains far below its all-time high
TRUMP later fell much further from its early peak. Data from CoinMarketCap as of 2:42 p.m. UTC on October 3 shows the token reached an all-time high of $75.35 on January 19, 2025. At around $2.05 today, it remains more than 97% below that level.
Despite the long decline, the team still controls a large amount of TRUMP. The reported 718 million tokens remaining in team wallets represent about 71.8% of the total supply. EmberCN said the team could continue moving tokens from its remaining allocation over time.
The latest transfers therefore add another chapter to TRUMP’s story. A large amount of the team’s original allocation has already moved to exchanges, while hundreds of millions of tokens remain under its control.
