DeFiLlama data from October 3 shows that most tracked chains recorded less than $1,000 in fees over the previous 24 hours. Of the 558 public chains tracked, 514 recorded transaction fees below $1,000. Of those, 443 generated less than $10, and 399 reported $0 in fees.
According to DeFiLlama data, only seven tracked chains recorded more than $100,000 in fees during the period. Solana led with $1.09 million, followed by Tron at $922,900, BSC at $793,900, Ethereum at $435,000, Bitcoin at $325,600, Base at $114,800, and Robinhood Chain at $100,900.

Breakdown of leading chains by 24-hour fees
The DeFiLlama table ranking chains by 24-hour chain fees places Solana first. It reported a bridged total value locked (TVL) of $54.544 billion, a stable market capitalization of $16.626 billion, a 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $2.57 billion, 3.11 million active addresses, a market capitalization to DeFi TVL ratio of 3.82, and a 24-hour application revenue of $6.14 million.
Tron ranked second in fees. Its bridged TVL stood at $105.717 billion, with a stable market capitalization of $94.801 billion, a 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $51.41 million, 3.37 million active addresses, a market capitalization to DeFi TVL ratio of 3.48, and a 24-hour application revenue of $28,628.
BSC followed in third place for fees, showing a bridged TVL of $39.034 billion, a stable market capitalization of $13.312 billion, a 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $1.349 billion, 2.12 million active addresses, a market capitalization to DeFi TVL ratio of 11.51, and a 24-hour application revenue of $1.44 million.
Ethereum placed fourth, with a bridged TVL of $402.578 billion, a stable market capitalization of $146.446 billion, a 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $1.575 billion, 503,252 active addresses, a market capitalization to DeFi TVL ratio of 2.31, and a 24-hour application revenue of $1.42 million.
Bitcoin ranked fifth in fees. It listed bridged TVL and stable market capitalization at $0, 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $633,153, and 712,825 active addresses, a market capitalization to DeFi TVL ratio of 292, and a 24-hour application revenue of $2,036.
Base occupied sixth position, reporting a bridged TVL of $21.149 billion, a stable market capitalization of $5.23 billion, a 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $1.363 billion, 281,406 active addresses, and 24-hour application revenue of $708,309.
Robinhood Chain ranked seventh, with a bridged TVL of $3.114 billion, a stable market capitalization of $1.055 billion, 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $1.343 billion, and 24-hour application revenue of $892,990.
Additional context on public chain metrics
Separate data from August 2 indicated that Tron’s total transfer value surpassed the $5 trillion mark. The network was described as the second-largest public chain by stablecoin market capitalization at that time.
It had added 105 million new accounts and recorded 3.6 billion transactions. The network’s total value locked had crossed $11 billion. JustLend DAO, identified as the first lending platform on Tron, held $3.56 billion locked.
