Ripple is taking XRP into college football with a new multi-year partnership with Florida Athletics.
The deal, announced on September 4, will put the XRP logo on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, known as “The Swamp,” when the Florida football season begins in 2026. Ripple will also support financial and technology education for students.
The partnership gives XRP a visible place at one of Florida’s best-known sports venues. Florida Athletics said the logo will be prominently displayed on the field during games, bringing the crypto brand directly into the match-day experience for Gator Nation.
The deal goes beyond football branding
But the deal is not only about putting an XRP logo on a football field. Florida Athletics said Ripple will make a long-term commitment to support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the wider campus community.
The education program will cover traditional finance as well as digital assets, giving students a chance to learn about both areas.
Florida students to learn about digital assets
Scott Stricklin, the University of Florida’s director of athletics, said the school has a history of using new technology to improve the experience for its fans and support its sports programs.
“Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance the experience of our fans and advance our programs,” Stricklin said. “Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we’re excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation.”
Ripple expands its sports partnerships
Ripple also confirmed the agreement in a post on X. For the crypto company, the Florida deal is its second major sports partnership.
The first came in July, when Ripple and the Kansas Jayhawks agreed to a five-year partnership. That deal will see the XRP logo placed on the team’s jersey through a jersey patch arrangement.
The Florida agreement comes as crypto companies continue to find new ways to connect their brands with sports fans. According to the Associated Press, people familiar with the negotiations said the Ripple deal could generate up to $5 million each year through XRP logo placements at The Swamp.
The reported value gives the partnership a significant commercial side, while the XRP branding gives Ripple a direct presence during Florida football games.
Crypto companies move deeper into sports
Meanwhile, Ripple is not the only digital-asset company moving deeper into sports. Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, became Chelsea Football Club’s principal partner and official front-of-shirt partner for the 2026/27 season. USDC and Circle branding will appear on the shirts of Chelsea’s men’s, women’s and academy teams.
Galaxy Digital also entered college sports in July after becoming the official AI and crypto partner of Texas Tech athletics.
Other major crypto exchanges, including Coinbase, OKX and Kraken, have also used sports partnerships to promote their businesses. Coinbase has deals with the NBA and WNBA and also sponsors the Seattle Storm.
With the Florida agreement, XRP will now have another place in major sports, this time on the field at The Swamp. The partnership combines the brand’s football visibility with an education program focused on finance, technology and digital assets.
