Robinhood Chain has seen rapid growth just three weeks after its public mainnet launch, amassing approximately $700.90 million in total on-chain asset market capitalization.
According to data from Entropy Advisors, the network holds around $433.16 million in stablecoins, underscoring demand for dollar-pegged assets on the new Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain. Protocol TVL (Total Value Locked) stands at $497.80 million, while total tokenized value has reached $177.6 million.
DeFi activity picks up
Data from DeFiLlama further illustrates the momentum. TVL in DeFi protocols recently stood at $276.29 million, up over 8% in 24 hours, with the stablecoin market cap near $432.77 million.
Daily DEX volume has recently surpassed $572 million, supported by strong inflows and bridged assets exceeding $950 million. These figures demonstrate how quickly Robinhood has attracted liquidity and user activity since the July 1, 2026, launch.
The chain’s early growth can be attributed to multiple factors. Robinhood leveraged its large user base of millions of retail investors, offering easy access via the primary app without needing a separate wallet for certain features like Morpho lending. The platform also supports tokenized stocks, perpetual futures, and yield products such as Robinhood Earn, which provides competitive yields on stablecoins like USDG.
Chain growth lifts HOOD
Amid the network growth, Robinhood Markets Inc (NASDAQ: HOOD) shares surged more than 8.06% in morning trading on Tuesday, reaching $107.29 from a previous close of $99.28. The stock opened at $102.82 and hit an intraday high of $107.35, supported by strong volume in a positive broader market environment for tech stocks.
The rally was primarily driven by Bernstein’s decision to raise its price target from $130 to $160 with an “Outperform” rating, citing Robinhood’s potential in prediction markets and on-chain growth. Investors are also anticipating a Q2 2026 earnings report on July 29, with expectations supported by increased trading, crypto, and blockchain-related activity.
As the network matures, Robinhood is expected to continue expanding into areas such as tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), AI-powered trading tools, and additional DeFi services.
Can the momentum last?
Despite its strong early traction, Robinhood Chain faces multiple challenges that could temper long-term growth. Much of the initial growth has been driven by stablecoin inflows and speculation rather than the core tokenized RWA vision, raising questions about the sustainability of organic adoption.
The network also remains highly dependent on Robinhood’s retail user base, making it vulnerable to changes in investor sentiment or potential regulatory action affecting yield products and tokenized securities.
Competition from established L2s and potential execution risks in scaling diverse DeFi offerings remain significant. For HOOD stock, its premium valuations leave limited room for disappointment if on-chain revenue ramps slower than expected or if broader market volatility returns. While the network has demonstrated strong early momentum, investors should remain aware of the associated risks.
