Ansem Says Crypto’s Next Bull Run Could See Record Retail Demand

Key Highlights

  • Crypto trader Ansem believes the current market cycle is positioned for the largest wave of retail participation yet.
  • He pointed to improved mobile trading experiences and simpler onboarding for new users.
  • Ansem cited growing institutional interest in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), the CLARITY Act, and companies like Stripe and Robinhood entering crypto.

Solana-focused crypto trader Ansem believes the current market cycle could attract more retail investors than any previous bull run, arguing that crypto infrastructure has matured significantly while institutional interest continues to expand.

In a post on X on Monday, Ansem said the ingredients for a broader wave of adoption are already in place, even though major cryptocurrencies remain well below their historical peaks.

He pointed out that Solana (SOL) remains roughly 75% below its all-time high, while Bitcoin (BTC) is still around 50% below its peak, suggesting there is still room for another major expansion cycle.

Why retail could return to the market

According to Ansem, one of the biggest differences between previous market cycles and today is how much easier crypto has become for newcomers. He said mobile applications, cross-chain infrastructure, and simplified onboarding now allow users with virtually no crypto experience to begin trading within minutes. He argued that reducing friction for first-time users could significantly increase retail participation if market conditions remain favorable.

Ansem also linked crypto optimism to the recent surge in artificial intelligence-related stocks. He added that strong gains in AI equities have reminded retail investors how quickly speculative assets can generate returns, making them more willing to explore cryptocurrencies.

Ansem added that crypto already has its own history of rapid wealth creation, pointing to memecoins that previously grew from virtually zero to market capitalizations exceeding $80 billion.

Institutions and tokenization add momentum

Beyond retail speculation, Ansem believes institutional developments are creating a stronger long-term foundation for crypto markets. He highlighted growing interest in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), continued discussion around the CLARITY Act, and traditional financial companies increasingly embracing blockchain infrastructure.

He specifically referenced firms such as Stripe and Robinhood, which have expanded their blockchain and tokenization initiatives in recent months. His comments reflect a broader industry trend as traditional financial institutions increasingly explore tokenized securities, stablecoins, and on-chain settlement infrastructure.

More than one crypto trend

According to Ansem, the next cycle is unlikely to revolve around a single narrative. Instead, he expects both institutional products and speculative assets to attract different types of investors simultaneously. He argued that traders could move between perpetual futures, tokenized equities, established cryptocurrencies, memecoins, and micro-cap tokens depending on market conditions.

“Combination of serious narratives around trading perps on established companies to the degen setup of trading memecoins & microcaps — both will attract speculators in droves,” he wrote.

He added that execution of mobile-first trading platforms could introduce a significant number of new users who previously viewed crypto as too difficult to access.

ANSEM token reacts

While Ansem’s broader comments focused on the crypto market, traders piled into The Black Bull (ANSEM) token following his post.

At the time of writing, ANSEM was trading around $0.219, up 21.8% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. The token’s market capitalization stood at approximately $91.4 million, while 24-hour trading volume reached about $19 million, reflecting heightened market activity. The token’s circulating supply was roughly 417 million ANSEM, out of a maximum supply of 1 billion.

Optimism meets uncertainty

Although Ansem cited improving infrastructure, stronger institutional participation, and easier onboarding as reasons for optimism, whether those developments translate into the largest retail cycle in crypto history remains uncertain.

Much will likely depend on broader macroeconomic conditions, regulatory progress, and whether the industry can convert growing institutional interest into sustained participation from everyday investors rather than another short-lived speculative surge.
