Korea Blockchain Week

Korea Blockchain Week (KBW), one of the most awaited annual blockchain and Web3 events, kicked off in Seoul, Korea on Monday. The seven day extravaganza, to be held in Seoul from September 1-7, will be attended by investors, developers and crypto lovers from across the globe.

Founded and hosted by FactBlock and Co-hosted by Hashed, this is one of the largest Web3 events in Asia. 

In this article, we bring a sneak peek into the first day of 7th Korean Blockchain Week. 

According to the organisers of Korean Blockchain Week 2024, the event’s motive is to bridge the gap between Korean and global markets and enhance blockchain utility worldwide.

Korean Blockchain Week Event 2024 Agenda

September 1

The first day of the blockchain event holds a grand opening ceremony, followed by a conversation with Chris Dixon, an American internet entrepreneur and founder and managing partner of a16z crypto. 

September 2

On second day of Korean Blockchain Week, visitors got a chance to attend a number of events that captured worlwdie attention. A few of these events were Korea Nightopia: Official KBW Opening Party, FORKED Gaming, Crypto Legal Symposium, Institutional Cocktail Hour, Diversity-in-tech, and many more.

September 3

The day will start with keynotes from industry leaders like Seonik Jeon, Simon Kim, and Suji Yan, emphasizing on topics like the future of blockchain technology. The main events of the day are ‘the evolution of digital finance’, ‘the rise of Bitcoin apps’, ‘crypto regulation’, and the future of digital assets.  Also, Vitalik Buterin will highlight the significance of Ethereum and Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

September 4

This is another significant day for the event and involves a diverse lineup of keynotes, panels, and fireside chats. This day will include several discussions on Web3 adoption, the future of decentralized finance (DeFi), the evolution of blockchain infrastructure, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in Crypto. Hayden Adams, co-founder of Uniswap, and Brad Garlinghouse, co-founder of Ripple will lead the panels and discussions.  

September 5

The fifth day of the event will focus on AI by bringing together the global leaders of AI. This day will focus on the ‘unlimited scalability’ and explore the future of AI, ethics, sovereignty, and multidisciplinary trends. 

September 6

The last day of KBW2024 involve various exciting events like Early Bird Run with Factomind, Solana Spectrum in Korea, Liquidity Summit 2024, Seoulana Summer, and many more.

September 7

The closing day of the event holds a few exciting events like BeWater x NEAR HZN AI Alpha Hackathon, Crypto Art Seoul 2024 – Into the Phygital World, and FuturaCanvas Night. All these events will begin on September 6 and help in the successful closing of KBW2024.

The event holds an impressive line-up of over 250+ speakers, 350+ media partners, and thousands of attendees. A few of the bright-minded speakers at the event are:

  • Arthur Hayes (CIO, Maelstrom)
  • Brad Garlinghouse (CEO, Ripple)
  • Richard Teng (CEO,  Binance)

  • Mark T. Uyeda (Commissioner, SEC)
  • Mo Shaikh (Co-Founder and CEO, Aptos Labs)
  • Dan Albert (Executive Director, Solana Foundation)
  • Ran Yi (Co-Founder, Orderly Network)
  • Kori Leon (Co-Founder and COO, Pixelverse)

Apart from this, the event also has some popular names from the Indian blockchain market like Sandeep Nailwal (Co-Founder, Polygon), Ritumbhara Bhatnagar (Co-Founder and CDO, TanX), and Yoseph Ayele (General Partner, LAVA).

As the Korea Blockchain Week 2024 event is ongoing, it is offering unparalleled visibility for organizations and brands to collaborate with a diverse range of audiences.
