An insurance and financial service company, Nationwide Mutual Insurance, has filed trademark applications for “Nationwide” and its slogan “On Your Side” as part of making its metaverse debut.
As per the trademark application filed with the USPTO on January 26, 2023, the company seeks to provide insurance services in the virtual world.
The application claims plans for metaverse insurance real estate investing. In addition, the company intends to provide insurance, financial information, and consultancy services in the metaverse and other virtual worlds.
This includes mutual fund investments, brokerage, retirement plan administration services, and more.
