The e-commerce giant Flipkart and the tech firm ‘Nothing’ are collaborating to drop the very first NFT, ‘Black Dot’ at FireDrops on July 22. The news comes after Nothing unveiled its NFT prior to its phone launch. The drop will soon be included in Flipkart’s app too.
But there’s a catch! Only certain people who have pre-booked the Nothing Phone (1) on Flipkart between July 12th and July 18th will be airdropped the NFTs. The NFT drop will soon be included in Flipkart’s app too.
For claiming the airdrop, community investors will have to log in to their Nothing account, and then link their crypto wallet. After following these steps, they will have to navigate to the ‘My NFT Page’.
After Flipkart Labs, FireDrops is Flipkart’s latest venture in the Web3 Space with which the E-commerce firm will expand its services to virtual assets too. The web3-focused feature will go live on Flipkart in the coming few days.
Manu Sharma, VP and GM of Nothing India, said that the announcement of the Nothing Community Dots is to create more meaningful connections with the community.
He further added, “We recently introduced Phone (1), our first smartphone and the gateway to future connected and open product ecosystem. Going forward, we also plan to make not just the phone category, but other ecosystem devices future-ready by enabling sustainable and secure access to Web3.”
