Takashi Murakami And Rtfkt Collab For Clonex Chains Nfts

Renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami in collaboration with RTFKT Studios, and Crown Collection launch CloneX chains NFTs. These limited editions of four chains will only be available to Murakami and the RTFKT team.

Murakami’s most recent partnership with the RTFKT studios was an NFT Avatar Project called CloneX which was a huge success. Interestingly, a rare CloneX NFT was sold for a mighty 450 ETH or $1.25 million.

The vibrant NFT collection gained a lot of hype, earning blue-chip NFT status less than a year after its launch. To commemorate the partnership, RTFKT’s CEO and Co-Founder, Steven Zaptoi shook hands with Ryan Rehbock of Crown Collection to create the CloneX chains.

The chains are slightly similar to those worn by some of the 3D characters from the CloneX NFT collection. The lock of the 18k white gold Miami Cuban link chain is Murakami’s distinctive flower symbol. Last month, Murakami revealed his ‘Murakami Flowers’ NFT drop, and a hint of these motifs is seen in these NFTs as well.

On the other hand, CloneX chains also have an RTFKT logo in an animated Murakami signature art style. Rehbock used natural gemstones such as purple topaz, blue, pink sapphire, and ruby. A detailed enamel work surrounds the beautiful gemstones, adding a dramatic element to the chain.

Moreover, a large-scale sculpture piece of the RTFKT design also marks a fruitful partnership. Murakami NFT collectors can see the sculpture at Gagosian New York City on May 11, 2022, during the “An Arrow through History” exhibition.
