Rumors claim Disney to acquire NFT collection

One more string of assumptions and discussion sparked from NFT space, after Jamie Burke, a CEO of Outlier Ventures highlighted a rumor on Twitter that Disney is going to acquire a big NFT collection.

He quoted that if this deal happens, it would be the “biggest deal to date” for the industry.

With this thrilling tweet, many NFT maniacs and big names have started guessing about potential NFT collections, which Disney could acquire.

The biggest NFT promoter and American Hip-hop star, Snoop Dogg has given a waggish reply that “Disney is buying the doggies”. Doggies are Snoop Dogg’s playable 3D Avatars which were quickly sold after the launch.

Many people have bombarded assumptions of collection, which suggests NFT collections such as  Cool Cats, Super Yeti, Doodles, and more.

Apart from this, someone attached a screenshot from Coolman Coffeedan of Coolman’s Universe on Discord, in which he stated that he is going to meet Disney officials.

Among these so many assumptions, Burke confirmed that someone has made the right prediction about Disney’s possible choice of NFT collection to acquire by saying “All I’m going to say is someone in the thread got it”.

While the NFT trend is booming over upcoming web 3.0 projects, many big companies are falling into the NFT space through acquiring prominent NFT collections. Recently, sports brand NIKE has acquired virtual shoe company RTFKT to create next-generation collectibles that combine culture and gaming. Disney’s acquisition can be similar to NIKE’s purchasing deal.
