Drake Loses Bitcoins Worth $275,000 after Betting in a UFC Match

The famous Canadian rapper, Drake lost his crypto bet worth roughly $275,000 in Bitcoin, which he placed on American professional mixed martial artist Jorge Masvidal.

On Saturday, a Seismic UFC 272 event was held at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. Drake placed a bet on Masvidal, as believed that he would easily defeat his opponent Colby Covington and could get him over $700,000 through the winning bet.

Unluckily, the result of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) showdown was not in Drake’s favor. Colby’s every punch and kick made him the winner of every round. The entire match was one-sided domination by Colby that declared him a winner by unanimous decision.

Before this, the rapper gambled on Super Bowl LVI for $381,000 in the largest cryptocurrency. At that time, his luck supported him to earn easy money after the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals.

But, afterwards, the U.S authority unveiled that the betting platform ‘Stake’, which was used by Drake is not registered and licensed in the Ontario province. That means the bet that he won may have been illegal.
