Socios.com Officially Partnered Up With Ballon D’Or Awards

In Brief:

  • Socios.com has now partnered up with the 2021 Ballon d’Or Awards.
  • This year’s presentation will mark the return of football’s most coveted individual awards.
  • The event would take place on 29th Nov.
  • The ceremony is likely to be seen by over 832 million people on social media globally.

Socios.com, the absolute influence and rewards app for sports fans all over the world, has announced its partnership with the 2021 Ballon d’Or Awards.

This will mark the return of football’s most coveted individual awards following the cancellation of last year’s ceremony due to the pandemic.

Next Monday, November 29th, Socios.com will have brand visibility on the Red Carpet, where the biggest names in world football will be shining as they make their way to the Parisian Théâtre du Châtelet, on the banks of the Seine, for the ceremony.

Additionally, the creators of Fan Tokens have negotiated an agreement with Amaury Média, the advertising section of the Amaury Group: L’Équipe (newspaper, magazine), L’Équipe website, L’Équipe mobile app, la Chaine L’Équipe, France Football, le Journal du Golf, Vélo Magazine and le Ballon d’Or.

The app will also have two photobooths set up at the ceremony, where the 750 guests could snap a photo with the renowned trophy and win a Fan Token from one of the platform’s 100+ partners.

The Ballon d’Or was initially awarded in 1956 to the finest footballer in Europe, and the inaugural winner was Englishman Stanley Matthews. It has been a global prize since 2007, and all professional players from all around the world are eligible.

Furthermore, the Ballon d’Or Féminin, as well as the Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player, were founded in 2018 to honour the best female player, which was awarded to Danish Ada Hegerberg. A year later, in 2019, it established the Lev Yachine Trophy for the best goalkeeper of the year.

On 29th Nov., at 8.30 p.m. (CET), all four awards will be awarded in a ceremony that is expected to be seen by over 832 million people across the world on social media.

Socios.com’s Founder and CEO, Alexandre Dreyfus, claimed,“we are delighted to be partnering with the Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious individual awards ceremony in football, and to be part of a ceremony that has become one of the most anticipated events in the sports calendar. Socios.com was created to bring fans closer than ever to their heroes, and the Ballon d’Or is the event that gathers football’s biggest stars, so it’s a perfect combination.”

Also earlier this month,Socios.com partnered with Kraft Sports + Entertainment’s New England Patriots and New England Revolution and this helped the Patriots to use the deal to engage with their fan base through the activities of the Socios.com mobile app.

Socios.com has already worked with over 100 major athletic organisations across the world. FC Barcelona, PSG, Juventus, AC Milan, Atlético Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan, Arsenal, and the national teams of Argentina, Portugal, and Italy are among the teams on the roster, which also includes a number of NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLS franchises, as well as a number of top F1, esports, and cricket teams.

Socios.com, which was founded by Chiliz, has tripled its partner list and user base in 2021, building new offices in Madrid, Istanbul, So Paulo, and Buenos Aires. The company expects to open its first offices in the United States in 2022, continuing its global development.
