In an October 5 press release, Bitmine stated that its Ethereum holdings totaled 6,016,414 tokens as of 6:30 p.m. ET on October 4. The figure equaled 4.9 percent of the 122.1 million total ETH supply. The company valued the tokens at $2,726 each using Coinbase pricing.
Bitmine valued its combined crypto, cash and marketable securities, and other investments at $17.4 billion. The total included $643 million in cash and marketable securities, 214 Bitcoin, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $117 million stake in Eightco Holdings.
The October 5 update continued a weekly purchase program that began with the ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025. Over the past week, the firm acquired 15,112 ETH. Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee said Bitmine has purchased ETH every week since the strategy launched.
The firm stood at 99 percent of its stated “Alchemy of 5 percent” objective after roughly 15 months. Earlier weekly disclosures had shown holdings crossing 6 million tokens while remaining short of the 5 percent mark against the same supply figure.
