MoonPay, a crypto payments company, said its MoonPay Trade is now live on Tangem, giving users a new way to swap digital assets directly inside the Tangem wallet app.
In an X post on Tuesday, the company said the update is available on Tangem version 5.39 and lets users swap digital assets of major blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base, and Hyperliquid. This means users no longer need to leave the wallet to move between different assets or networks.
Trading across 200+ blockchains
The new system connects Tangem users to more than 200 blockchains and protocols through MoonPay Trade. It works like a built-in trading engine inside the wallet. When a user wants to swap one token for another, the system automatically finds the best route and completes the trade in the background.
Users do not need to worry about bridges, wrapped tokens, or moving assets manually between chains. Even gas fees on the destination chain are handled automatically. At the same time, all transactions are approved inside Tangem using a card or ring, keeping private keys stored securely on the device and maintaining self-custody.
1:1 stablecoin swaps with no slippage
A unique feature of the update is 1:1 stablecoin conversion. This means stablecoin trades can happen without price slippage, so users get the exact value they expect when swapping stablecoins.
MoonPay Trade also connects to deep liquidity sources like Morpho, Aave, and Maple Finance. These are large DeFi systems that help provide strong pricing and better trade execution. The system is also linked to MoonPay Institutional and a network of more than 500 partner apps, showing that it is built not just for small users but also for large-scale financial systems.
How to execute a trade
To use the feature, Tangem users must first update the app, open a token page, and select swap. They can then choose a destination asset, even on another chain.
After selecting MoonPay Trade as the provider, users approve permissions for token access, review the quote, and confirm the trade. The final step is to sign the transaction using the Tangem card or biometric confirmation. Once completed, the trade is processed, and the updated balance appears in the wallet.
MoonPay expands its crypto finance offerings
Meanwhile, this integration comes as Moonpay continues to build its presence in the financial space. Recently, the company acquired Entendre, an AI-based finance operations platform for on-chain accounting.
Moonpay has also acquired Sodot, along with Decent and DFlow. Moreover, earlier this month, the company introduced the MoonAgents desktop app, which allows users to interact with blockchain systems using simple text commands.
