Upbit, South Korea’s largest crypto exchange, announced the listing of two new tokens, Maple Finance (SYRUP) and HUMA Finance (HUMA). Trading for both assets will begin at 16:00 KST today. Both assets will support Korean currency won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT) Pairs.
Maple is a decentralized lending protocol connecting institutional borrowers with crypto lenders, and Huma provides on-chain credit infrastructure for real-world assets. According to the exchange’s announcement, deposits and withdrawal services for HUMA and SYRUP will be activated within three hours of the posting time.
Notably, the process of placing deposits and withdrawing HUMA can only be made using Solana Network. Users must verify the correct network before making many transactions without delays and the reception of the deposit.
Upbit has implemented temporary trading restrictions on newly listed tokens HUMA and SYRUP during their initial launch to safeguard price stability, including a prohibition on orders more than 10% below the prior closing price for the first five minutes, and allowing only limit orders for the first two hours.
As per CoinMarketCap data, Huma Finance (HUMA) is currently trading at $0.03860, while Maple Finance (SYRUP) at $0.6006.
Additionally, Upbit stressed adherence to internal security procedures and South Korea’s Travel Rule. Deposits from exchanges not included in the list of approved operators of virtual assets may not be reflected very soon. Users must ensure deposits are only through verified personal wallet addresses.
With the introduction of HUMA and SYRUP, Upbit will maintain the availability of diverse cryptocurrency assets and sufficient user security and regulatory compliance.
