Anthony Pompliano has announced that his company, ProCap BTC, LLC, has purchased another 1,208 Bitcoin at an average price of $105,977 per coin. The total purchase comes to $128.02 million.
Pompliano took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the update with his followers. He also said that bitcoin is “hurdle rate,” and famously stated, “If you can’t beat it, you have to buy it.” Bitcoin advocate and Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor responded to Pompliano’s post with support, commenting, “Let’s get after it relentlessly.”
This marks the second day in a row that ProCap BTC has bought bitcoin. The company had already made a major 3,724 bitcoin purchase just yesterday. Now, the company’s total Bitcoin holdings are 4,932 BTC. ProCap BTC’s current Bitcoin treasury is worth approximately $532 million at the market price of $107,951.60 per BTC as of writing.
These back-to-back Bitcoin purchases comes just days after ProCap BTC announced a $1 billion merger with Columbus Circle Capital Corp. I (NASDAQ: CCCM) to go public under the name ProCap Financial, Inc. The firm is wasting no time. It is rapidly using funds from the equity raise to accumulate bitcoin, giving investors instant BTC exposure through their shares.
