Solana Joins Chainlink’s Ccip Network, Unlocking New Bridges

Chainlink just hit a major milestone: its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now live on the Solana Mainnet. This is the first time CCIP has launched on a non-EVM chain, and it’s a big deal for developers looking to build across multiple blockchains without compromising security or speed.

With the v1.6 upgrade now running on Solana, Chainlink is connecting Solana’s high-speed, low-fee network to more than 57 other blockchains. This means both users and developers can securely move assets and data between Solana and other ecosystems — a key piece for scaling institutional-grade blockchain applications.

“Launching CCIP on Solana is a pivotal milestone for the industry,” said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs. “Solana’s high throughput, low fees, and large developer community make it an ideal environment for building next-generation, cross-chain applications.”

Some of the biggest names in the space are already jumping in. Projects like Solv, Backed Finance, Shiba Inu, and Maple Finance are extending their CCIP-enabled tokens into Solana using Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) Standard. They’ll be joined by new names like ElizaOS, The Graph, Zeus Network, and even Pepe — together, these CCT tokens represent a combined market cap of over $19 billion.

Maple Finance is among the first to bring its token, syrupUSD, to Solana. “Interoperability is essential to unlocking institutional participation at scale,” said Maple Co-Founder Joe Flanagan. “We’re proud to integrate Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard.”

ElizaOS is also using CCIP to enhance the reach of its autonomous AI agents. “This integration brings us closer to a future where AI agents can transact, coordinate, and deliver value across chains,” said founder Shaw Walters.

This update also reduces transaction costs and introduces a simpler architecture that will help Chainlink scale CCIP to hundreds more chains in the future.

Chainlink has been quietly building on Solana for a while now. It brought Price Feeds to the network in mid-2022, then rolled out Data Streams in late 2024. Today, it powers some of Solana’s top projects, including GMX-Solana and Kamino Finance.

Now, with CCIP linking Solana to major chains like Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, and Optimism, building across blockchains is about to get a whole lot easier.
