The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force has announced the agenda and full list of panelists for its upcoming roundtable, “Tokenization — Moving Assets Onchain: Where TradFi and DeFi Meet.”
The event is scheduled for May 12, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at SEC headquarters, 100 F Street N.E., Washington, D.C.
Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, who leads the Task Force, said tokenization could profoundly impact traditional finance and the SEC is keen to engage with experts on how to respond. “Tokenization is a technological development that could substantially change many aspects of our financial markets,” Peirce said.
The roundtable is open to the public and will be streamed live on the SEC website. No registration is required for virtual attendees, but in-person attendees must register. Doors open at 12 p.m., and a live viewing link will be available on www.sec.gov on the day of the event.
