Salesforce Teams Up With Google Cloud In A $2.5B Deal

Salesforce Inc. has just signed a massive multi-billion dollar deal with Google Cloud, committing to at least $2.5 billion of expenditure over the next seven years.

The partnership is aimed at attracting corporate customers who currently rely on Microsoft Corp.’s products, including its productivity and artificial intelligence offerings. This deal will allow the Salesforce customers to utilize IT CRM software, AI assistants, and Data Cloud products on Google Cloud.

Before this agreement, Salesforce mostly relied on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its cloud computing needs. Now, with Google Cloud joining the mix, Salesforce customers will have the option to run their software alongside Google’s cloud products. This partnership will make it easier for businesses that use both platforms to work together seamlessly.

In the press release, Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said, “Our mutual customers have asked us to work more seamlessly across Salesforce and Google Cloud. This expanded partnership will help them accelerate their AI transformations with agentic AI, state-of-the-art AI models, data analytics, and more.”

The $2.5 billion deal between the two companies is a significant step forward for both in terms of business plans. Salesforce will be able to expand its products to new customers while also playing an active role in giving Google a greater presence in the cloud market.

Google Cloud will now be able to offer a wide range of products, including Salesforce CRM product tools, AI assistants, and data cloud products, to its customers. This will give businesses more options and make it easier to integrate their customer management with cloud-based tools.
