Pi Network saw a drop in its base mining rate, with a 5.71% decrease with the start of the new year. As of January, the mining rate has dropped from 0.0050594 Pi per hour to 0.0047706 Pi per hour.
This adjustment makes mining Pi more challenging, encouraging miners to remain consistent and optimize their rewards.

The Pi Network community is encouraged to continue their efforts, as maintaining consistency will be key to earning Pi tokens under the new, tougher mining conditions. This reduction reinforces the network’s strategy of gradually adjusting mining rates to align with the growing value and adoption of Pi in the ecosystem.
In contrast, back on August 1st, Pi Network experienced a surprising 18% increase in its Base mining rate, defying the anticipated decline.
