OpenAI’s ChatGPT recently made a post on X that resembles President Joe Biden’s “I’m sick” statement, but ChatGPT put its own AI spin on the message.
On July 20, ChatGPT wrote, “I’m sick of general intelligence not being ubiquitous and too cheap to meter.” This clever wordplay shifts the focus to AI concerns while mirroring the President’s format.
This post follows President Biden’s July 18 statement, where he said, “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election.”
Biden’s comment came after reports that Musk plans to donate $45 million monthly to a pro-Trump political action committee, raising questions about the influence of wealthy individuals in elections.
The post also coincides with his announcement of testing positive for COVID-19. He informed the public on X, saying, “I tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon, but I am feeling good and thank everyone for the well wishes.” The President stated he would continue working while in isolation, demonstrating his commitment to his duties.
Meanwhile, these events occur as Biden faces requests from some Democrats to drop out of the 2024 election race, citing concerns about his age and electability. He’s also dealing with criticism about his position on cryptocurrency regulations, a topic of growing importance in tech and finance circles.
The tech group Chamber of Progress recently urged Biden to support comprehensive crypto regulation. In a July 9 letter, they suggested this could improve his chances in the upcoming election. They warned that former President Trump is using the current administration’s lack of clarity on cryptocurrency issues to his advantage.
The Chamber of Progress stated, “Former President Donald Trump has capitalized on the Administration’s lack of clarity to reverse his position on cryptocurrency and portray you as an opponent of American technological leadership and economic progress.”
