The WATER Solana memecoin has gained attention with celebrity endorsements from famous Brazilian football player Ronaldinho Gaucho.
On Tuesday, Gaucho’s Instagram account published a story endorsing the memecoin. On the previous day, a similar campaign was posted on Argentine football player Lionel Messi’s Instagram account.
Both players used their Instagram accounts to promote the token taking advantage of their enormous followings. Messi, who has more than 500 million followers, and Ronaldinho, who has almost 77 million, have greatly increased the awareness of the memecoin.
Ronaldinho refuted involvement in a purported cryptocurrency scheme that promised 400% returns on investment last year.
The token was “crafted in partnership with the masterminds behind” the BEER memecoin, according to a page that links to the WATER memecoin‘s website. In recent weeks, the process of launching memecoins has been easier, in part because of Pump.fun, a website that makes it simple for users to produce tokens.
Legal disclosures emphasize that WATER has no intrinsic value or financial return expectations. Further, it also read, “WATER is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.”
The WATER memecoin’s founders have dubbed it a “charity token,” which suggests that it has an odd goal. The precise manner in which it will aid philanthropic endeavors is still unknown.
The WATER Solana memecoin aims to redistribute assets fairly among holders and support charitable causes, emphasizing contributions without personal loss. The creators of WATER aim to tackle deforestation and water distribution in Africa, ensuring transparency with a dedicated public wallet for charity donations and campaigns.
As per CoinMarketCap, the WATER token was increased by over 200% in the last 24 hours. However, the price is declined and is set to $0.0009171. According to the memecoin website, Bitget, BitMart, and MEXC are the places where you may purchase and exchange the token.
