Sports apparel giant Adidas enters the third and final phase of Into The Metaverse with the “ALTS by Adidas” NFT collection.
To mint ALTS by Adidas, the holders need to burn their Phase 1 and 2 “Into the Metaverse” NFTs.
Chapter 1: ALT[er] EGO allows holders to own exclusive ALTS by Adidas. The first of eight distinct attributes with varying rarities that make up your identity or PFP is called an ALT[er] Ego, aka your avatar, and Adidas provides it for your ALT.
Your ALT[er] Ego will choose exclusive utility to provide additional benefits catered to your interests and utility made available to every ALT.
A few examples of the rarities include Strikes (soccer), Hoops (basketball), Thrills (gaming), Amps (music and film), Soles (sneakers and skate), Decos (Art), and Drips (Fashion).
Holders will get exclusive or early access to physical and virtual products specific to your ALT[er] EGO via the Adidas online and retail touchpoints. They will also receive access to tickets for events and performances specific to their ALT[er] EGO.
Wait, there’s more to it!! ALT holders will receive a stake and a voice within the ALTS by Adidas ecosystem along with the private use and specific commercial IP rights for your ALT.
The ability to enhance and personalize your ALTs with virtual wearables, access to holder-only community gatherings, access to a token-gated chat in Discord and in future platforms, premium access to the Adidas collect platform, exclusive access to physical and virtual (Metaverse and gaming) experiences, are some of the other perks for Adidas ALT holders.
VP of the Adidas studio, Erika Wykes-Sneyd, stated: “ALTS brings the entire breadth of Adidas as a sports and lifestyle brand into the digital space. Token holders will get special access behind the velvet rope.”
“The ALTS will evolve over time based on the holder’s decisions and engagement. As you participate, you will be able to earn and collect (further) personalized traits to customize your unique ALT,” Wykes-Sneyd added.
