NFT giant Yuga Labs introduces KodaPendant: the first of the Otherside Relics by Gucci, a digital and physical piece that represents Gucci’s arrival into the Otherside: Legends of the Mara.
According to the announcement, “Yuga Labs and Gucci create Otherside Relics to push the boundaries at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, and gaming.”
The Koda-shaped pendant made completely of 925 sterling silver, pays homage to Yuga Labs’ Otherside, while the eyes and the interlocking G chain incorporate Gucci’s GG logo. A special edition number is inscribed on the back of each piece.
The KodaPendant is intended for Vessel and Koda NFT Holders. For each Vessel or Koda NFT, the KodaPendant includes a 3,333 limited edition metadata graphic update.
In Otherside, owners of the Vessel or Koda NFTs with the KodaPendant trait will have free access to a chat handle, trail VFX, for 3D avatars in Otherside, and the option to later claim a physical KodaPendant.
From April 6 at 6 PM ET for 24 hours or until sellout, the 3,333 digital KodaPendant NFTs will be made available for purchase on a first-come-first-serve basis for Vessel and Koda NFT holders.
The Gucci KodaPendant NFT may be purchased for 450 APE each ($1926.90). Holders can claim one physical KodaPendant for each Vessel or Koda NFT with the KodaPendant trait they hold.
When a Voyager buys the Gucci KodaPendant, they receive a metadata attribute that gives the chosen Vessel or Koda NFT a permanent visual change and allows them to wear a digital KodaPendant necklace in the Otherside: Legends of the Mara game.
Gucci signed a multi-year deal with Yuga Labs, with the KodaPendant being the first item that came out of the collaboration. Yuga Labs’ Chief Creative Officer, Michael Figge, did note the collaboration with Gucci extends to endless opportunities in the Otherside metaverse.
