Japanese crypto exchange Mt. Gox, which was one of the largest in the early days of Bitcoin adoption until its demise in 2014, has made headlines once again. A wallet linked to the 2014 Mt. Gox hack moved a 7-year-old 10,000 BTC.
The wallet associated with the BTC-e exchange went live on November 23, carrying out its largest transaction since August 2017. These 10,000 BTC (roughly $166.8M) were sent to two addresses.
According to CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju, 65 BTC were moved to a single address, which is to the HitBTC Bitcoin exchange.
