Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) warns users that Google displays crypto phishing and scamming sites when they search crypto data aggregator CoinMarketCap (CMC) on the search engine.
“This affects users adding smart contract addresses to MetaMask using these phishing sites,” CZ tweeted.
The Binance team is attempting to get in touch with Google about these phishing websites and is informing users through social channels. The number of crypto phishing attacks is rising in number so users should never click on any links mindlessly because that can put you and your assets in danger.
