The voting for Ape community’s proposal to build an ApeCoinDAO marketplace built by Magic Eden has already started and who knows Apes might actually get a marketplace by themselves!!
At the time of writing, the proposal has witnessed ‘No’ coming from 179K APE (90.45%) and 19K APE(9.55%) have voted in the favour of the proposal.
The voting started on September 16, 2022, 6:30 a.m. and will end on September 22, 2022, 6:30 a.m.
As per the proposal, the marketplace will be a home for $APE holders where they can buy and sell ApeCoinDAO NFTs, including but not limited to BAYC, MAYC and BAKC along with Otherside’s Otherdeeds.
The fees could be as low as 0.75% for sellers, and no cost to the DAO with a 1.5% base fee that can be cut down with a 0.5% discount for trades made in APE token.
The marketplace would further host features like combo ETH/APE bidding, discounts for APE payments, merch functionality, and custom engineering & marketing resources.
Subject to approval of this ApeCoin Improvement Proposal (AIP), future AIPs might even propose a fee split between Magic Eden and ApeCoinDAO to create a revenue system for the community as well as Launchpad capabilities.
This will further help the marketplace to become a platform for DAO members to launch their own projects.
