AMC Theatre Accepts Dogecoin & SHIB via Bitpay

Movie enthusiasts now can buy movie tickets by paying in Dogecoin and SHIB through the Bitpay option on AMC App.

One of the largest U.S-based theatre companies, AMC’s CEO Adam Aron has completed his promise to accept crypto payments in Dogecoin and SHIB today, which he made in November 2021.

In a recent tweet, Adam Aron revealed that the AMC mobile app now accepts leading cryptocurrencies such as DogeCoin, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies via Bitpay.

In order to enable the AMC app to add new cryptocurrencies as a payment method, users will have to update it with the latest version.

Since last year, AMC theatre has been embracing different cryptocurrencies for payments. The theatre company has already adopted Bitcoin and Ethereum payments for its movie tickets.

Users can pay in Dogecoin and SHIB on the AMC app by selecting the Bitpay option. On Bitpay, users can connect their crypto wallet and pay for their tickets.

Last month, Adam Aron revealed that the company would start accepting payments in two popular cryptocurrencies, dogecoin, and Shiba Inu from this month.
