Artist Alexa Meade, known for her unique illustrations on the human body and 3D spaces, dropped her latest NFT in collaboration with ‘World of Women’, World Economic Forum (WEF), Trillion Tree Fund, and Code Green.
The auction for her “With the Weight of the Melting Glaciers on our Shoulders” NFT took place on SuperRare. Interestingly, Snoop Dogg won the auction with a bid of 4.5 ETH. He expressed his excitement via tweeting from his account Cozomo de’ Medici, saying “Call the NFT police, I’ve just stolen @AlexaMeadeArt’s SR genesis!”
Snoop Dogg’s growing list of NFTs also includes the genesis work from Yam Karkai’s ‘World of Women’ NFT collection. He owns the genesis piece “the fire within you,” and also another 1/1 NFT “Two Faces”. It appears that Snoop is on a mission to encourage women in the NFT space. We will likely see more female artists joining the digital renaissance!
Alexa Meade came up with this beautiful masterpiece with a climate awareness message just as the name of the NFT suggests. As per Meade’s tweet, 70% of the proceeds will go to climate change nonprofits.
Meade is quite famous for her dazzling work on the human body. She has also painted pop singer Ariana Grande for her blockbuster ‘God is a Woman’ music video. With her latest NFT drop, she intends to spread more climate awareness through her art and support non-profit organizations in bringing the change this planet deserves.
